Echolocation Experience - Jordan Arnesen
 
~CONCEPT~
This game would hopefully be part of a larger educational exhibit about bats and other animals that have evolved to use echolocation or other non-vision based navigation. My aim is to help create a rough simulation of what it would be like to navigate in total darkness using the sense of hearing to detect objects in the environment. Or “What’s it like to be a(n echolocating) bat?”

Description: Our goal is to create a intuitive device that will allow people who are bedridden for long periods of time (whether they be in hospice care, or recuperating from another long term illness) stay connected with the outside world, which will provide a more less-sterile and more natural/positive environment more conductive to healing.

We decided to move forward with the MatchGlass concept and work on building a prototype for it, for our final project. In this proposal, we will highlight the specifics / differences that we have incorporated into our project based on the feedback we received in class, and some literature that we read about similar past projects.
