Final Project Proposal—Communication Tree Mobile
Peter Nguyen and Erica Young
Description: Our goal is to create a intuitive device that will allow people who are bedridden for long periods of time (whether they be in hospice care, or recuperating from another long term illness) stay connected with the outside world, which will provide a more less-sterile and more natural/positive environment more conductive to healing.
The tree’s most active features allow the user to communicate with friends and family through social acts, such as text-based messaging and person to person photo and video sharing. There are also passive features of the tree, such as the change of the colour scheme to reflect the time of day, and the shifting of pictures on the branches as photos are uploaded by other family members.
