Proposal
Creation of a device that will grab attention and transmit messages without requiring any one specific sense, enabling it to be used when certain senses are impaired or unavailable.

Objectives
Breaking the gap between giving and getting information, exchanging ideas, and sharing feelings.

  • Enable parents or teachers to communicate with children with hearing and visual impairments.
  • Provide alternate ways for individuals with communication disorders to exchange information.
  • Enable the creation of non-aural information exchanges.

Implementation
Develop an Arduino based device that will use various sensors to communicate with the user.

  • Use a single or pair of Arduino embedded in some sort of shell
  • Buzz, jump or glow to grab attention.
  • Mimicry as way of communication between devices.
  • Ideally, wireless pairing between devices
  • Sensors such as sound, visual or motion as input on one device translated to output on the other.
