Input / Output Coincidence Lab Assignment

Description:
In light of recent events on campus, I thought to construct a campanile like object that contains a tiny crevice for a tiny block of "copper". When the copper is removed from this little crevice, the alarm systems of the campanile go off, playing annoying alarm sounds and blaring red lights to simulate the fire that will ensue.

We all now live in the Social Media age where social approval can be used to modify behavior. We all have seen the "Statutory Warning" that is written on every cigarette packet by law, but left to our own devices we tend to ignore them.

After completeing the piezo lab assignments with the speaker and the theramin, I moved onto the homework assignment to create a coincident interaction. Looking aorund my kitchen I found a small ceramic fish that my wife uses as a change holder. I wanted to insturment the mouth of the fish such that a song or alarm plays when you reach inside for a coin.

The assignment of this week did not turn out as expected. I wanted to build a piano with 8 different keys. But I realized after hacking a while that I needed two FSRs. I tried to solve the problem with a photocell. If the hand is on the left of the FSR you have the first 4 notes, and on the right you have the second 4 notes, because then the photocell should be able to sense your hand. This does not work well for two reasons: the photocell is not sensitive enough and the input for the FSR does not work well.

The goal of this lab was to learn to use the piezo buzzer to make sound using inputs from the Arduino and a sensor.
 
In Part 1, using the example code provided I was able to construct the circuit to connect the Arduino to the piezo buzzer and for it to make sound.
 
In Part 2 of the lab, I learned to construct a Theremin by building a circuit that utilizes the input from a photosensor to control the sounds that the piezo buzzer makes.
