We all now live in the Social Media age where social approval can be used to modify behavior. We all have seen the "Statutory Warning" that is written on every cigarette packet by law, but left to our own devices we tend to ignore them.
Instead here I have tried to create a buzzer alarm that goes off when a smoker opens his/her cigarette packet. This can create a sense of public shame for the smoker, eventually helping him kick the habit. The cigarette packet is embedded with a photosensor and connected to a buzzer. The buzzer goes off when the packet is opened and light falls on it.
