I was going for a crawling bloody hand effect, but didn't have time to make it to the Halloween superstore. A gardening glove and some cotton with paint on it worked okay, though. The motion is sort of "propellor-style," and the movement is sort of diagonal - I experimented a lot with placement of the motor and shape of the pipecleaners.

1/2 styrofoam sphere
toy car taped to bottom, for balance and a little ease of motion
