Grading Policy

All assignments are due at 12:30pm on the due date.
Assignments turned in 24 hours before the due date will receive 5% extra credit.
Assignments turned in *up to* 24 hours after the due date will be penalized 20%.
Any assignments turned in after 24 hours will receive no credit.

Instructors Availability Policy

The best way to reach us is to come to our posted office hours. If you are unable to make office hours, we will strive to answer emails and appointment requests as soon as we receive them, and usually within 24 hours of the request. However, our mileage may vary depending on how close to the due date and how complex your question is. So please do not wait until the due date to send out your questions regarding assignments.

The tutors reserve the right not to respond to your questions if you run into them outside of posted office hours, since they have their own deadlines as well.

Please email questions to all four instructors using i206instructors@sims, rather than to individual instructors. If you send us questions via email, we will post our responses to the class mailing list, after anonymizing the sender information. Please give us explicit instructions if you want us to respond to your questions in private.

Cellphone and Wi-Fi Policy/Etiquette

Please remember to turn off or silence your phones (and other alarms) before each class meeting. We will subtract i points from your class participation score the i-th time your phone rings in class during the semester. No exceptions.

We request that you sit in the last row if you want to read news,  reply to email, etc., using your wi-fi connection.
