Cuckoo Clock Mechanics:
Our approach is illustrated in the diagram below:

The idea is to use a single servo motor to control the door as well as the clock. The door is hinged as shown. Rotational motion of the servo motor is transformed into sliding motion for the horizontal members of the frame.
