We like the concept behind your project and the goal of supporting a more collaborative, fluid storyboarding process.  We are not convinced that the system would scale up to productions that have multiple types of sets with lots of props, etc. that need to be rendered.  It may be possible to accommodate something like that, or it may be necessary to scope the tool to smaller-scale productions that take place in a small number of simple locations.  Further work on designing more specifically what the interface would look like and how it would interact with other design software (if at all) could help to clarify things.
