Rally Monkey

As a baseball fan, a rally monkey is a must-have whenever the home team's behind in the bottom of the 9th and you really want to show your spirit. Between the rally monkey and/or the rally towel, i decided to make the rally monkey wave it's paw. With the motor, cork, safety pin, pot ( and thread, I got the rally monkey to show it's spirit whenever you applauded. Maybe this special rally monkey could've helped the A's this season.

 Materials

All materials from Lab 6

resistor, motor, pot

Code (same as lab 6)

/*
 * one pot fades one motor
 * modified version of AnalogInput

 * http://www.arduino.cc/en/Tutorial/AnalogInput
 * Modified again by dave
 */

int potPin = 0;   // select the input pin for the potentiometer
int motorPin = 9; // select the pin for the Motor
int val = 0;      // variable to store the value coming from the sensor
void setup() {
  Serial.begin(9600);
}
void loop() {
  val = analogRead(potPin);    // read the value from the sensor, between 0 - 1024
  Serial.println(val);
  analogWrite(motorPin, val/4); // analogWrite can be between 0-255
}

Nice job! This project is definitely driven by a true user need. :) It would be great if you took the Monkey to see the A's next season -- maybe you could open him up and implant the Arduino inside! Or you could hook him up to an RSS feed of the game to let you know how the A's are doing when you're not at the game!
