Digital Harmonium
I created a low fidelity digital harmonium. It has one button (made from the FSR) and a flap (made from the Photocell) which can be used to create different sounds. It also has a volume control which is a Potentiometer connected to the speaker.
Components Used:
1. Force Sensitive Register
2. Photocell
3. Peizo Speakers
4. Potentiometer
5. Registers and wires
The code that I used was the same as Theremin code. So I am not adding it here. The interesting aspect was the circuit design. The flap changes the light emitted on the Photocell changes its resistance. The button is an FSR and you change the resistence by pressing it. I placed the Photocell and FSR in parallel and by pressing the button I would decrease the resistance of the circuit dramatically thereby increasing the pitch of the sound. Potentiometer acted as a variable register and increased or decreased the volume of the piezo speakers.
