Thoughtless Act
The thoughtless act that I chose to focus on is the innate need to touch surfaces. Especially large, smooth surfaces such as the Chicago Bean and even globes.
The two pictures I included are of two friends of mine posing with the Chicago Bean. Notice how both are, whether they’re looking at the sculpture or not, touching the surface.
An interesting physical design solution that came to mind from this picture is that we could make our globe more reflective and smooth. Enticing the user to touch and look into it.
