For this assignment I used some random pieces of household plastics (coffee cup and fruit container) to construct what was conceived as a 'disco ball' like effect. Using arcylic paint to black out the LED the light only shines through the holes, and those spots with less paint cover.
Resource list
Arduino
Breadboard
DC motor
Potentiometer
LED
Arduino code
I try to reconstruct the first animations using the pot to control the speed (frames/sec) and the motor to control the motion
Parts:
DC motor
Arduino
POT
diode
transistor
CODE
Description:
I created a psychedelic music player. Using processing I play a song (.wav) file. Using the pot the user can change the speed of the song. Simultaneously a music wheel starts rotating, which gets faster as the speed of the song increases, creating a visual experience similar to the visuals played by online music players.
Materials:
1 potentiometer
DC motor
CODE:
Arduino
Description:
Create a rotating axle that can rotate clockwise and counter clockwise. The FSR is acting like a gas pedal, the proximity sensor determine the direction of the wheel. If we put our hands blocking the proximity sensor, the wheel will rotate counter clockwise, if there is no blockage the wheel rotate clockwise. Two LEDs as an indicator, green:the wheel moving clockwise, red: the wheel moving counter clockwise.
Materials:
Proximity Sensor
FSR
DC motor
Wine cap
In this weeks Arduino installation, Kilian and Martin created a little game called PushTheLukas - Air Edition. The goal of the game is to balance a ping pong ball on top of an air stream within a tube by pushing a small blue ball (see youtube video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DJJg9OHGuKk). Every time the ping pong ball stays inside a target area, the player is being awarded credits.
