Assignment: Synthesis: Music Instrument (group work)

We wanted to explore physical objects to create collaborative music. We used Balsa wood, Glass, Plastic and Tin as our materials to create music. Blasa wood  used in the form of "woodpecker" hands to hit the selected material for creating repercussions. Servo motors are used for movement of "woodpecker" hands. Photocells are used to take input from user. Moreover, Photocells are embedded in Balsa wood control panels (like game controllers). When user moves his hands over photocells, "woodpecker" hands will hit the selected materials. 4 users can collaboratively create music using our instrument.
