Assignment: DC Motor: Actuation Assignment 1

My dog, Gilda, loves playing with her purple rubber ball, but I never want to play as long as she does. I thought it would be neat to attach the ball via a ribbon to the DC motor & it could move for her while I did other things. The motion didn't work as well as I would've liked, but the ball did move around (not quite enough to interest her). I tried attaching objects of differing weight (a Playmobile doll, cutlery) via different strings (strong thread, twine) to see if I could get the motion more to my liking. The Playmobile doll worked the best, but still wasn't heavy enough & the twine looped around the jutting rod of the motor.
