In order to refine your project concept, some amount of research and investigation is necessary. Decide among your teammates who will do one of the following (if you are more than 3 in the group, some of the activities can be repeated):

• Review related literature (E.g. if your project is in the "Smart Home" or "Smart Things" area, locate and review at least 3 papers like "The Connected Car" reading from Lecture 8).  Here is a good example from a couple years ago.
  
• Technology review (Examples for "Smart Home" project might include sensors, solar panels, insulation materials, etc.). Standards, processes, or information models could be relevant here because they implicitly encode "good" ways of doing things that might provide ideas for new or improved services. Here is a good example from last year.
  
• Competitive Analysis (For example, construct a Competitor Array, create Competitor Profiles for major competitors, and analyze news/media relevant to that market segment.
  

What matters is quality, not quantity.

Your goals are to:

1. Prioritize your top 3 findings or insights from your research.
2. Translate these into ideas for services that you can apply to your project concept. Be sure to explain the connection or justification for your services from your research via traceability.
