Just came across this article on TechCrunch which talks about how people changed their in-store shopping behaviors. Consumers are more precise at what they are buying instead of looking around in the stores. It echoes with the multi-channel session where it suggests that there needs to be some collaboration between the on-line and the physical stores.
"All of this means that retail stores need to consider the use of online campaigns to educate shoppers via mobile and online platforms. Clearly companies like Google, eBay, and even startups like ShopKick are gearing up for how to influence shoppers’ in-store purchases as well as online and mobile shopping."
