Associated User Teacher, parent, librarian, or caregiver who assists child in using the system or physically acquiring the book.
Discussion board Bulletin board system on different book-related topics
Bookshelf Displays basic information about a user (age, grade, city and state) as well a user's favorite books and books he/she wants to read.
Browse Look at books that are similar in some respect (such as author, subject, grade level, title, featured work)
Points

Earned for rating or reviewing a book, or answering a poll. Earning a certain number of points means you achieve a certain Tree Member status and receive a certificate and bookmark. We're still considering ways for kids to earn and spend points.

Primary User Child in 1st - 5th grade
Proxy User Stand-in for actual user
Qualities of a book Aspects of a book that may or may not be catalogued explicitly, such as number and quality of illustrations, size of font, writing quality, and size of book.
Book Suggestions Generated by the ReadingTree system. Cannot be stored. Users who wish to store book information must use their bookshelves.
Search Look for a particular book, based upon some known piece of information (such as author, title, subject).
Start Over Button used to remove information from CF forms--this phrase preferred to Reset or Clear.
Treehouse Refers to the screen containing chat, bulletin boards and the member list.

This section was originally called "Today's Special" but we renamed it based on user test results. This section includes "What's Hot/What's Not" lists, featured books, and ReadingTree member of the week.
