This infographic traces the "Evolution of the Geek" - how the meaning and connotations of the word has changed over time, and a classification of the different types of geek. What was once an insult has now become almost a point of pride. I was amused by the classification of geek subspecies here, though I'm not sure how much I agree with the hipster geek being a product of the "Steve Urkel Ubergeek" and the "Tech Geek." Don't know about you, but I can pick out at least three categories here that I can relate to.
