Overview

In this course, students will build tools to explore and apply theories of information organization and retrieval. Students will develop skills in rapid prototyping of web-based projects and implement concepts learned in Info 202 through small projects on topics such as controlled vocabularies and social classifications. While no particular programming language is required, students should be comfortable using or learning a scripting language such as Javascript or Python.

It’s suggested that students take Info 202 concurrently, or have taken it in the past. Non-I-School students are welcome.
