Assignment: Simple Mechanics: Cuckoo Clock

Description:

Our cuckoo clock features a simple, hand-operated mechanism that pushes the doors open and presents the cuckoo in one smooth motion.  This featured very few 'moving parts' and little that could break on the design.

Design:

The mechanism for opening the doors is a sliding piece which pushes the doors open at an angle.  The cuckoo rests atop this piece as well.
