Description:
This project has posture in mind, and is intended for those who tend to spend too much time sitting, stationary, in front of their computer, or who have back problems that are aggravated by sitting for too long.
The design goal is a chair that knows how long its user is sitting, and which is programmed to heat up (to the point where the user is forced out) after a pre-determined period of time (roughly, an hour). The user must wait until the chair cools before returning (ten to fifteen minutes).
Materials Needed:
-A chair.
-Sensors capable of determining continued presence of a body in the chair.
-A safe means of raising the chair's surface temperature.
-Interface with an embedded program that times the user's presence and manages the heater.
