Potty Party Final Project Proposal

We have decided to continue work on the Children's Potty Party project and would like to embody this in a working prototype. We believe that we have established a good interaction loop. We have established the learning journey and believe that each of our input devices will produce one particular output in the loop. Based on the outcome of each stage in the process, we believe that the subject (child) will learn how to use the potty. As you mentioned in your feedback, there is only one way to be absolutely sure that this will work, and that would be with a working model. However, since our prototype will be used primarily for demonstration purposes, we are not sure if it will be a good idea to actually have the child use the prototype! As an alternative, we can simulate the use of the potty by generating input and output to the various devices and sensors on the device. We have talked about implementing embedded speakers on the potty and the cup and playing the music and stories via the minim program and processign. We could also have the journey evolve with time as the child could get a different message as he uses the potty more and more successfully. We also believe that the paging of the absent parent would be optional and would be a switch that could be turned on or off.
