This project explores the happiness mectric of a home as determined by the amount of light blocked in the kitchen. I've noticed that the more happy and friendly I find my environment at home is often refleted by the more people that congregate in my kitchen.  A photocell faces a bright light installed in my kitchen and senses unblocking of light bymoving bodies. I visualize this activity in processing through ambient changes in color. Red stands for highly frequent variation in light when my house is happy; blue stands for less frequent variation in light when my house is sad.
