Syntax files

Simple Syntax File
This is the first example STATA syntax file. It shows some very simple operations in STATA.

Small extract of 1996 General Social Survey
This is a very small selection of variables and data from the 1996 General Social Survey. This data file is used in several .do files such as simple.do and intermediate.do
Auto data file that comes with STATA
This is the automotive data file that comes with STATA. I include it here in case you do not already have it. We use it in the two_variables.do syntax file.
