Thoughtless acts in the architecture studio space

I found some thoughtless acts in the architecture studio space.

1. Glue bottle in a roll of paper towel

When liquid glue gets old, getting glue out of the bottle is very hard because it gets sticky and too thick to flow out.  If it is a little left in the bottle, it is very annoying to make the glue flow from the bottom of the bottle, and after getting some out the bottle doesn’t stand right away since glue takes time to flow back to the bottom. I found the glue bottle in a roll of paper towel and thought it was a brilliant idea. The paper towel which is very heavy and has a hole in the middle was perfect to hold the glue bottle. The diameter of the hole was slightly bigger than the bottle cap so that it did not make the bottle fall into the hole.

You can find some ketchup or mayo bottles designed upside down to make getting them out of the bottle easier, however it is hard to find glue bottle designed like that. One of the reasons might be that it needs sharp cone shape tip for the use of the glue. If we cannot have a flat tip of the bottle, maybe we can have a deeper bottle cap which has a flat bottom and heavy enough to hold the bottle upside down.

2. Umbrellas hanging on the bracket of the partition wall

We do not want to put wet umbrellas on the desk or on the floor. It has to be hung somewhere. We need an umbrella hanger on a desk which pops out so that other things around the desk stay dry.

3. Other uses of a roll of tape

Tiny things are easy to lose, especially round objects that roll around and disappear. The inner space of a roll of tape is good to keep small things since it acts as a mark showing where things are and also prevent them from rolling.

4. Worn x-acto knifes on the partition wall

We cannot throw away worn x-acto knifes in regular trash bin, but still need to separate them to secure place from desks. Often time people stick them into boards around the desk.
