Description
For this homework assignment, I created a Mario Bro's musical stick. To make an input/output coincidence device, I taped together the piezo speaker, the force sensor (FSR), and the potentiometer (POT). The musical stick plays 2 different melodies, the "Mario Bro's Theme Song" and the "Underworld" song -- very typical and recognizable songs to any video game player, the notes for which I found online. The "Underworld" song typically plays when Mario goes down a pipe into an underworld world.
The input for the musical stick is force and position of the dial in the potentiometer. The Mario Bro's theme song is being played by default, and will only change to the Underworld theme once a force threshold has been surpassed. To achieve said pressure, the bottom of the stick is pressed on (pressed unto a table, or just squeezed between one's fingers). The potentiometer separately controls the speed at which either song is played. I coded the program such that there are 3 distinct speeds: normal, 20% faster, and 40% faster. As the dial is turned, each threshold will be surpassed and the song will start playing faster/slower.
The output for the musical stick is, evidently, music: the different melodies at different speeds.
A video that illustrates the above explanation and functioning of the musical stick can be found here:

*Note: the code might seem a bit long because I introduced all the notes directly in here.
