Our team's project revolves around using the foot and its gestures as a tangible user interface. In this thoughtless act exercise, I took two photos of people resting their feet--one on a stool and another on a table leg. This is an action that people do very frequently without consciously choosing to do so.
Possible design solution
The first example (resting feet on a stool) may be problematic depending on the person's height. If s/he is not tall enough, it's possible that s/he cannot rest his/her feet on the stool and instead they're left dangling. A possible solution for this is to have the stool and/or the stool's rest be adjustable.
