For the first image, while the bed is “made” I noticed that I ‘thoughtlessly’ aligned my pillows along the wall instead of in the middle of the bed. This highlights to me how arbitrary pillow alignment can be on a bed, but still form an order.
Comparing this to the second image, which is in the morning, the head pillows are still mainly aligned to the wall, but the other pillows as well as the covers are very haphazardly arranged. This shows just how much movement throughout the bed is available for non-head pillows compared to the relatively static head pillows. I would be interesting to track the non-head pillows throughout the night to see how far they do travel, and how fast as this could play an important factor in the development of the bed molding system.
