For our musical instrument, we decided on a two person competition, much like the basketball game HORSE. Except that our musical instrument is decidedly MONKEY. One player chooses a difficulty of a song they must repeat on a keyboard. If they get it right, player two must repeat the same song. If player two gets it right, the game continues, player 2 choosing the song this time. If player two gets the song wrong, he or she gets a letter, M.O.N.K.E.Y. When one player reaches MONKEY, they lose and our monkey claps and laughs.
Brian made the song selector from a potentiometer, Sofia wrote the songs specifically for the piezo, Tim made an octave keyboard from four (4) FSRs, Kristine made the clapping monkey, and Dirk tied it all together with the game logic.
