Description
In this lab, I built a simple circuit and programmed an Arduino Uno to make an LED blink. I chose my blinking pattern to be “on” for 3 seconds then “off” for 2 seconds.
Components Used
1- Arduino Uno
1- 1 kΩ resistor (I didn’t have a 220Ω resistor at home)
1- Breadboard
1- LED (red)
Code
/*
Blink
Turns on an LED on for three seconds, then off for two seconds, repeatedly.
This example code is in the public domain.
*/
// Pin 13 has an LED connected on most Arduino boards.
// give it a name:
int led = 13;
// the setup routine runs once when you press reset:
void setup() {
// initialize the digital pin as an output.
pinMode(led, OUTPUT);
}
// the loop routine runs over and over again forever:
void loop() {
digitalWrite(led, HIGH); // turn the LED on (HIGH is the voltage level)
delay(3000); // wait for three seconds
digitalWrite(led, LOW); // turn the LED off by making the voltage LOW
delay(2000); // wait for two seconds
}
