Introduction to Arduino and Physical Computing

The assignment was an ntroduction to physical computing and introduced us to arduinos and how to program them. For this assignment we constucted a very basic circuit to light up LEDs and then uploaded the code to the arduino that makes the LED blink at regular intervals.

The assignment required us to build a simple circuit to blink an LED using the ardouino microcontroller.

Components used:
- 220 ohm resistor (red red brown gold). 
- 1 green LED
- Bread board
- 1 Arduino Uno

Description
Our first lab was an introduction to Arduino software and to building circuits around our microcontroller. I modified the "Blink" sample sketch so that my LED blinked every half second (500 ms) at an interval of 2 seconds (2000 ms).

I started with connecting a yellow wire between pin 13 and breadboard.  After putting the resistor labeled red, red, brown and gold, I carefully put LEDs with its short leg going to ground. I used parallel connection to put two LEDs and their blinking looked slightly weaker than the case I put only one LED. By connecting a different color wire to ground, I completed the circuit. Then, at Arduino environment, I changed the code controlling speed of blinking LED.

Description:
The goal of this assignment was to learn to program the Arduino Uno to make an LED blink. Example code provided by Arduino was modified for this assignment. In the original code, the LED blinks for one second then there is a one second wait then it blinks again. In the modified code, the LED blinks for one second then there is a three second wait and then it blinks again.

Description
In this lab we basically checked that our circuit board worked by making a simple circuit to make an LED light blink in certain determinable intervals. I used a Arduino Uno microcontroller, 220 ohm resistor, a red LED< 22 guage solid core wires, and a solderless breadboard to create the circuit shown below. I used example blink code from the Arduino program and edited the time input to create varying intervals of flashing. Below you will see the components used, the code, and a picture of the circuit. 

Description:
The assignment was to make an LED blink by programming the Arduino controller. I used 2 LEDs in parallel to make it more fun. Also I made the sequence with 3 different blinking on and off times so the LEDs went on and off in a particular sequence. There were 3 time delays i used in decreasing order. So the LEDs blink faster as the sequence proceeded and looped back from start.

Description
This laboratory exercise served as an introduction to both physical computing and to the Arduino programming environment. A simple circuit was constructed with a 220 Ω  resistor, a light emitting diode (LED), a breadboard, and an Arduino Uno microcrontroller. The frequency of the LED blinking was modulated through the Arduino programming environment, by modifying the duration of the high/low voltage signals present in the "Blink" example code.

     Utilizing the “Blink” example sketch from the Arduino software, a simple circuit to make a LED light blink at specific intervals and durations was created.  This lab served as an introduction to basic circuit wiring and introduced the concepts of a basic microcontroller circuit; namely a power source, load, microcontroller and ground.
 

Description
 
This first lab was an introduction to the Arudino programming environment. 
 
Using the Arduino Uno I constructed a basic circuit that made an LED blink.  I based my code off of the Blink LED code found on the arduino.cc site.
