Being both ambitioned hobby photographers we get to explain the “hows” and “whys” of our DSLRs from time to time. We remembered that it was kind of hard to explain interaction of a camera’s elements. How does changing the aperture effect the exposure time and the length of the depth of focus? What has to be changed if the user decides to alter the ISO value of its DSLR?

Indulging in explanations of the underlying optical physics usually starts boring our friends quickly. An interactive, tangible way to explain the optical laws is required. We like to call this tangible user interface “photocation” – physical photography education.
