Tangible User Interfaces - Fall 2011

This concept is one that I find really stimulating. Thinking about why people do the things that they do and the ways that people can repurpose their environment to be more useful, engaging, purposful.

Below are two photos that both capture how people are using the space as a place to rest. These resting points are not designed to be this, they are meant as a way to indicate foot traffic only, or no vehicles.

I wrote the above about two weeks ago, and I spent time looking for more instances of 'thoughtless acts'. It is something that is hard to see or find. It takes a level or awareness and vigilant reflection and critique on the world around you. I did not make any more really obvious observations, yet I spent much time questioning things I was observing.
