I noticed many thoughtless actions while in motion, just walking around. Physically the action of walking is a multisense action, and people have seem to developed some norms (while probably not intentional).
The first image is a group of students walking along the sidewalk. What is interesting is that the group of students are walking in a line ton converse easily. It doesn't matter that the pavement ends, but the social norm of being next to one another forces a line.
The second image shows two people walking toward each other, on a collision course. But automatically both parties move out of the way. This observation of giving others space is seen in many different scenarios (elevators, classrooms, etc). We drift far enough to give personal space, but not too far to seem socially awkward.
The third image shows a line of people walking across a path, partially covered in pine needles. While the person ahead is going slower than the person behind wants, the person behind slows down as not to venture off the cleared path. The pine needles, easily brushed away and stepped on, are a visual difference that is avoided.
