You are responsible for:

• Completing the reading assignments. Note that not all the reading will be covered in class, but you are responsible for it anyway. The class time will concentrate on topics not represented in the reading,, discussion of controversial issues, applications of the concepts, and small "learning projects". You can ask questions about the readings in office hours, in class, or on the discussion forum).
• Attending class and participating in discussions there. This will be an important part of the learning experience, and as indicated above is not just a rehash of the readings.
• Completing the projects and submitting your reports on time.
• Completing the takehome exam.
• Participating in the online discussion forum.
