Relevance Feedback (part of the iterative process)
The student’s feedback to the prof:
- “thanks, that helps”
- “silence” or “huh?”
- “what does that have to do with anything?”
System: for each document retrieved
- user responds with relevance assessment
- binary: + or -
- utility assessment (between 0 and 1)
