Since then, many developers and scholars have tried to organize this information in order to obtain instruction for future. One of the biggest trials has been started since last month. Google and Twitter have collaborated and hosted "Project 311," in which they provide their big data related to the Great Earthquake to developers and researchers for free.

The important point of this news is not just Google and Twitter provide their big-data for free. In this project, not only Google and Twitter, but also other industries provides their information for free. For example, the national broadcasting association and a large news company provide their reports and articles. Moreover Honda provides floating car data from their car navigation system.

So, in this project, not only data on the web like Google's queries and tweets, but also how mass media reported and how people transferred after the disaster can be studied. In other words, various kind of information from different industries will be gathered and organized in this project. How do projects participants organize information and utilize them? The result will be novel, comprehensive one and generate multiplier effect.

The result may reveal how people act in huge disaster and should be highly suggestive one for planning next generation social system.
