Guest lecturer Patrick Riley [http://people.ischool.berkeley.edu/~patrick/] will talk about the real-time web, a set of technologies and practices which enable users to receive information as soon as it is published by its authors. Patrick is a doctoral student at the UC Berkeley School of Information and the founder of mReplay [http://www.mreplay.com/], a company building real-time web applications, search and analytics platforms.
