E2.1 A “dumb terminal”, the user-interface appliance from the timeshared computing era, as described in "A Historical Perspective" (Section 1.1 on page 1), displays only text (no graphics) and has only a keyboard for input (no mouse or other pointing device). If users today had only a dumb terminal, briefly describe the impact on each of the following applications. (The purpose of course is to appreciate better the impact of graphics and pointing devices on user interfaces.)
