Student responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Completing the reading assignments. Note that not all the reading will be covered in class, but you are responsible for it anyway. The class time will concentrate on the most difficult concepts, answering questions, discussion of controversial issues, and small "learning projects". Material that is fairly straightforward will be left to you to pick up in the readings (and ask questions in office hours, in class, or on the discussion forum).
• Attending class and participating in discussions there. This will be an important part of the learning experience, and as indicated above is not just a rehash of the readings.
• Submitting homework on time (5pm Wed of most weeks).
• Completing the two projects and submitting your reports on time.
• Completing the two takehome exams.
• Taking the online quizzes during the scheduled window.
• Participating in the online discussion forum.
