Hannes, Andrew, and Rosie will continue work on the Bubblegum Sequencer presented first as a midterm project.  We plan to refine the design and create a more permanent (and presentable) prototype, both for the final project and with an eye toward submission to design competitions.  Anoher priority is to improve the robustness of the processing software so the Sequencer will perform more reliably in more environments.

We will also expand the prototype to include visual feedback by LEDs and/or projected animations, additional tangible functionality (for example moving music controls like tempo from software to the physical interface), and possibly a means for recording live samples via a microphone.  By these extensions, we hope to reinforce the interaction loop by relying less on GUI software, and well as enhance the performance aspect of the Sequencer, through redesign and visual feedback projections.

We have begun brainstorming our redesign and are compiling a list of materials we might need to construct the new prototype.  First on the list is  better camera, which we believe we might be able to borrow from BID (Dave had mentioned that there were firewire cameras available).  Once we have a desired design, we will add to this list and discuss our options with Kimiko.
