Assignment 0: Get started with Python

Due September 1 (before class)

 

Download and install the software needed: Python version 2.6, the IDLE programming environment, and the NLTK toolkit onto your laptop and whatever other machines you'll be using.

Make sure you can run Python and that NLTK is correctly installed

Download the NLTK Book Collection, as described at the beginning of chapter 1 of the book Natural Language Processing with Python
