bibliographic information. Analysis of
relevance, utility. Statistical and linguistic
methods for automatic indexing and
classification. Boolean and probabilistic
approaches to indexing, query formulation, and
output ranking. Filtering methods. Measures of
retrieval effectiveness and retrieval
experimentation methodology.
