I get chills, and a renewed sense of purpose everytime I watch the video of this installation.  The artists / computer scientists, Jonathan Harris and Sep Kamvar, have demonstrated how imaginative one can be when choosing how to represent data.  Their aesthetic decisions were not only beautiful, but imbued with meaning.

This article, published in the New Yorker, paints a humble portrait of the co-founder and CEO of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg.  In the article, Zuckerberg discusses his desire to create a more open, honest, and transparent world through Facebook.  

Someone is doing research on HCI at CMU, building platforms and software to "help people collect personally relevant information for the purpose of self-reflection and gaining self-knowledge."
